Removing the LAN capability will not prevent or even deter people from downloading StarCraft II. The game was great for its story line in single player, which has no effect on multi player... If you remove the LAN capabilities, you are removing the whole idea of LAN parties, and the whole, lets spend a weekend together playing games that are great. PS3 and Xbox games no longer do split screen and it sucks because that means your buddy has to bring a TV over, buy a console, and the game? or are you trying to make the game for a higher class that can afford the internet as well as a new computer. I myself have multiple computers in my house, and if I take it upon myself to backup my games I will do it weather or not it has LAN capabilities. Or let’s say I buy the game, and decide to lend it to a friend. Means he doesn’t have to buy it to play single player. (Besides, you need a working cd key to play on battle.net , correct?) All you are effectively doing is hurting the people who do buy the game because you are removing an aspect of the game. People buy single player FPS games that have no internet capability. People download those too. I really fail to see how this would help safe guard the product from piracy. “we felt that moving away from LAN play and directing players to our upgraded Battle.net service was the best option to ensure a quality multiplayer experience with StarCraft II and safeguard against piracy.” Of course, you could be encouraging people to try and reverse engineer it to add LAN, but that might be a bit of a chore. Not entirely grammatically correct. Then again, my major Is not English. Computer System Technician. Ottawa Ontario Canada 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Unfortunately, without LAN support for Starcraft 2 I will not purchase this game nor will I purchase any other Blizzard product in the future. Goodbye Blizzard--I hope you reconsider.

Come On No Lan Offline thats crazy you had it in the first, Im Soooo Sick of this this is exactly the reason why strategy games suck to me only the ones with no lan sucks who wants to play against an AI, and some people just cant trust there internet connections to keep up around the world so many games are made with no Lan and all people want to do is play them with there friends thats what games are for I will not buy the Original game for no lan But I Will For Lan . End Of Story!!!!!! PLEASE HELP YOURSELF MAN. peace
