What is Blizzard up to?

Why do you suppose Blizzard isn't including LAN. Do you really think it is just about piracy? Is it a control thing, or are they trying to make more money?

Though stat tracking is nice, I'd be okay with no fancy stats for LAN games.

Well, as many other big software companies, blizzard believes that they can do whatever they want and everybody will just adjust to their conditions, well, as many times before and many other before them... they are wrong, they will only encorage one of the next two options; gamers will find a way to crack the game and emulate a BN enviroment so they can play outside BN or gamers will just forget about SC2 and wait for the next big thing... which sometimes arrives almost imediatly. So I think they are wrong in their NO-LAN SUPPORT policy and it will come back and bite them in the ass Do you find this valuable?
